Fundraising
In September/ October 2005; Jennifer, Lucy and Helen applied to two different local organisations to get the fundings to help our Derby Signing Families to run, to provide different speakers for parents about relevant issues, to provide childcare for children in the creche, to organise day trips and many more. NOVEMBER 2005 We have recieved a BAD news from one of our funding application of Small Change. It was Unsuccessful. As they decided that our group do not meet their requirement of getting any funding from Small Change. The other funding has responded to us but they wanted the Quality Mark certificate before they can go ahead with the application. But they have not received it yet. At the moment, they are not accepting any more application. We will know more after christmas if they have decided to accept our application for funding without the Quality mark. they already know that CVS are helping us, So Lets hope that they have decided to accept our application, as it is our last one!! Janaury 2006 We finally received another bad news! the fund that we have been hoping to be a success was unsuccessful too!! So we have got NO money coming in!! Helen is trying her best to find another fund to keep the group going! June 2006 The reason for the Derby City community grant was unsuccessful is that we didn't fill in the right way and didn't provide enough information. Not easy to fill in application forms but we are trying our best! 27th June 2006 The nursery will be closed from 11th July for the summer holiday due to the shortage of the creche workers for our large group of children but don't worry - meet us at Freddy the dragon soft playcentre in Spondon on 11th and 18th July at 12.30pm.
